Abstract

Metode pendidikan dengan keteladanan (al-tarbiyah bi al-qudwah) dikategorikan sebagai salah satu metode yang urgen dan dibutuhkan serta sangat berpengaruh dalam proses pendidikan, baik dalam pendidikan Islam secara spesifik maupun dalam sistem pendidikan lainnya secara general. Muhammad Quthb termasuk salah seorang pemikir Islam (mufakkir Islâmî) yang menekankan urgensitas dan efektifitas metode keteladanan dalam pendidikan Islam. Karena itu, sepatutnya pemikirannya tersebut dapat diungkap lebih lanjut, khususnya dalam makalah ringkas ini. Makalah ini berusaha untuk mengelaborasi pemikiran Muhammad Quthb tentang metode keteladanan (uslûb al-qudwah) tersebut secara deskriptis dan analitis.
