Abstract

Children are future generations. On the shoulders of children, the design of the future of the nation and state is charged. While parents are the present generation who play a major role in preparing future generations. So it is necessary to have the role of parents to arouse the motivation of children to be eager to memorize the Koran. The results of the study show that: a. Parents' strategies in fostering children's motivation to be passionate about memorizing the Koran are by always encouraging their children, finding educational institutions for children, and uswatun hasanah from parents. b. Supporting factors for the implementation of parental strategies in their children are from internal factors, namely with seriousness and high commitment from parents, methods, facilities, media, educational institutions, reward and punishment. c. the inhibiting factors are electronic media, parental activity, and internal factors of children who are often lazy in muraja'ah and busy. d. a solution to be able to guide children even though there are obstacles, namely by regulating and supervising electronic media usage, giving special time for pilgrimage, and motivating children continuously.
