APLIKASI GAYA KEPEMIMPINAN TRANSFORMATIF DEMI MENINGKATKAN KINERJA DAN KUALITAS GURU

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi gaya kepemimpinan transformatif dalam meningkatkan kinerja dan mutu guru di SMP Al Islam dan Minhajus Al Salam, serta mengembangkan model kepemimpinan transformatif kontekstual yang relevan untuk sekolah swasta berkembang. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan mixed-methods dengan pengumpulan data melalui survei terhadap guru, wawancara mendalam dengan kepala sekolah dan guru, serta observasi kelas. Analisis data menggunakan desain sekuensial eksplanatori, di mana data kuantitatif dianalisis terlebih dahulu menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan inferensial, dilanjutkan dengan analisis tematik terhadap data kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi kepemimpinan transformatif memberikan dampak positif terhadap kinerja dan mutu guru di kedua sekolah, dengan korelasi positif yang signifikan terhadap motivasi, komitmen, dan efektivitas pengajaran. Ditemukan bahwa dimensi pengaruh ideal dan perhatian individual lebih dominan diterapkan di kedua sekolah, sementara stimulasi intelektual masih menghadapi tantangan terutama di SMP Minhajus Al Salam yang relatif baru didirikan dengan keterbatasan sumber daya (7 guru melayani 49 siswa). Penelitian menghasilkan model kepemimpinan transformatif kontekstual yang mencakup lima komponen: pengaruh ideal berbasis nilai lokal, motivasi inspirasional realistis, stimulasi intelektual berbasis komunitas belajar, perhatian individual adaptif, dan kepemimpinan kolaboratif. Kesimpulannya, kepemimpinan transformatif terbukti efektif untuk meningkatkan kinerja dan mutu guru di sekolah swasta berkembang, namun implementasinya perlu disesuaikan dengan konteks spesifik masing-masing sekolah, terutama dalam menghadapi tantangan implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka.
