Abstract

Penelitian ini mengangkat isu plagiarisme dalam konteks Islam dengan fokus pada tafsir ulama Indonesia, untuk memahami hubungan antara nilai-nilai kejujuran akademik dan perlindungan kekayaan intelektual berdasarkan prinsip Maqashid al-Syariah. Tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji bagaimana ajaran Al-Qur'an dan tafsir ulama Indonesia, seperti karya Hamka dan M. Quraish Shihab, memandang plagiarisme sebagai pelanggaran etika dan moral, serta untuk menggali bagaimana prinsip Maqashid al-Syariah, terutama hifz al-'Aql (pelestarian akal) dan hifz al-Mal (pelestarian harta), dapat diterapkan dalam konteks akademik modern. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan studi kepustakaan (library research), yang menganalisis karya-karya tafsir dan sumber-sumber sekunder terkait hukum Islam dan etika akademik. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis tematik dan hermeneutika kontekstual untuk menggali nilai-nilai kejujuran intelektual dalam ajaran Islam dan relevansinya dengan praktik akademik modern. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Al-Qur'an dan tafsir ulama Indonesia menekankan pentingnya penghormatan terhadap karya intelektual dan integritas akademik, serta menentang plagiarisme sebagai tindakan yang bertentangan dengan prinsip moral Islam. Selain itu, penerapan Maqashid al-Syariah dalam perlindungan hak kekayaan intelektual menunjukkan relevansi ajaran Islam dalam mendorong kejujuran akademik dan perlindungan terhadap kreativitas intelektual. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa prinsip-prinsip Islam, melalui Maqashid al-Syariah, memberikan landasan etika yang kuat untuk melawan plagiarisme dan mendorong integritas dalam dunia akademik. Pendidikan berbasis nilai-nilai Islam dapat memainkan peran penting dalam mengatasi masalah plagiarisme dengan menanamkan prinsip kejujuran dan tanggung jawab akademik. Penelitian ini juga menyoroti tantangan dalam mengimplementasikan nilai-nilai Islam dalam dunia akademik kontemporer dan pentingnya penyelarasan antara nilai-nilai tradisional Islam dengan praktik pendidikan modern.
